L&M Counselling & Training is a partnership between Laura Joanknecht and Michelle Green, bringing together over 20 years extensive experience in counselling, trauma-informed practice and professional training.
Our training is designed to support you in developing your competence without overwhelm—so you can deepen and develop your practice safely.
We are a CPCAB Approved Centre serving Kent & South East London and have a Trauma-Informed Teaching Approach.
Alongside our counselling work, we provide specialist training for counsellors who want to deepen their knowledge and develop their practice.

L&M Counselling & Training is a CPCAB Approved Centre based in Bexleyheath, offering counselling training for learners and practitioners across Kent and South East London.
Our location is accessible to learners travelling from Bexley, Sidcup, Chislehurst, Beckenham, Bromley, Dartford and surrounding areas, with live online training available across the UK.
We combine recognised CPCAB qualifications with experienced, practitioner-led teaching grounded in ethical, relational and trauma-informed practice.
Our aim is not simply to help you complete a qualification. We want to support you to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and reflective capacity needed for safe and effective counselling practice.

How long is the CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling?

We offer two flexible study options to suit different learning preferences:
Face-to-Face Course – Bexleyheath, Kent
Our face-to-face course is delivered part-time across two Sundays per month over 10 months in Bexleyheath, Kent.
This format provides a supportive learning environment where you can develop your knowledge and counselling skills through taught sessions, discussion, experiential learning and skills practice. The part-time structure allows time between sessions for reflection, consolidation of learning and balancing your studies alongside your professional and personal commitments.
Online Course – Live Tutor-Led Learning
Our online course is delivered weekly on Thursdays, 3pm–9pm, through live, tutor-led sessions.
You will receive the same high-quality, trauma-informed teaching and opportunities to engage with your tutor and fellow students, without the need to travel. This format is ideal for qualified and trainee counsellors who live further afield or who prefer the flexibility of studying from home.
Both course options provide a supportive and reflective learning environment, with a strong focus on developing confidence and competence when working therapeutically with trauma.
